Victoria College ADN Program grads receive pins at ceremony

Forty-three Victoria College Associate Degree Nursing Program graduates were honored on Dec. 14 at a pinning ceremony at the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts.

Kayla Laws of Victoria and Veronica Beach of Cuero were recognized as having the highest grade point averages in the graduating class.

Meghan Blaschke, Brittany Breshears, Jordyn Evans, Ashley McGaharan, Gabriella Mendieta and Corena Smith received Student Nurses Association pins for their volunteer service with the organization.

Other graduates who received their nursing pins were Dirze Avitia, Eudelia Banda, Kaylyn Bastian-Bennett, Cassie Berger, Brian Bubela, Jolett Campos, Kimberly Cervantes, Chancee Chandler, Ana DeLeon, Makayla Geistman, Luz Gonzales, Ryan Grayson, Brendan Hammack, Jacob Heinold, Katrina Heinold, Gabrielle Luna, Veronica Medina, Christina Moeckel, Anthony Pena, Jazmin Quintero, Olivia Riggs, Stephanie Robertson-Dowlearn, Kimberli Rodriguez, Rebecca Schoener, Karli Shannon, Dylan Torres, Maggie Torrez, Gina Vahalik, Nicole Vickery, Rosanna Villarreal, Paula Vrana, Kierstyn Williams, Summer Wunderlich, Stephanie Yanez and Lindee Zappe.

The nursing pins were presented by Luis Guerra, member of Victoria College’s Board of Trustees; Kim McClure, ADN associate professor; and Irma Moreno, ADN Program Chair.

Victoria College’s ADN Program offers a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree in nursing and is fully approved by the Texas Board of Nursing and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.

Successful completion of the ADN Program enables graduates to apply for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. Satisfactory achievement on the exam qualifies graduates for licensure as a registered nurse.
